Your host, Rich, is happiest outdoors.
Whether he’s walking the quiet fields, watching wildlife as the evening draws in, or waiting patiently behind his camera for the perfect shot, the countryside is very much his happy place.
That love of nature and a slower pace of life is at the heart of Tawny.
For Rich, creating Tawny was about more than building a beautiful place to stay. He wanted to share a little of what makes life here so special: the peace, the open space, the wildlife and the chance to simply slow down for a while.
He takes real pride in preparing Tawny for every stay, making sure everything is just right for your arrival, adding those little finishing touches and getting the wood-fired hot tub ready for an evening beneath the stars.
You may spot Rich out and about tending to the land during your stay. He’s always happy to stop for a chat or share a favourite local recommendation, whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk, somewhere to watch wildlife or the perfect spot to catch a Lincolnshire sunset.
Tawny reflects much of what Rich loves about life here: simple, peaceful and close to nature.

Tawny is tucked away in a quiet Lincolnshire village, surrounded by open fields, huge skies and the wild beauty of the coast.
Life moves a little more slowly here. Mornings arrive with birdsong, sunsets stretch across the horizon and, as darkness falls, the countryside takes on a life of its own.
Look carefully and you might spot deer wandering across the fields, a barn owl hunting at dusk or, if you’re lucky, badgers moving quietly through the moonlight. Settle into the hot tub after dark and you may hear the unmistakable call of tawny owls carrying across the fields.
It’s the kind of place where switching off the lights and simply listening to the night can become part of the experience.
And one of the loveliest things about Tawny is just how close you are to the coast.
Within around a 10-minute walk, you can be among the sand dunes, nature reserve and unspoilt beach. Head down early when the shoreline is quiet, take your binoculars for a little birdwatching, or simply wander with nowhere in particular to be.
A short drive away you’ll also find Donna Nook National Nature Reserve, famous for its remarkable grey seal colony. During pupping season, hundreds of seals come ashore, creating one of Lincolnshire’s most extraordinary wildlife experiences.
Then, when you’ve had enough exploring, there’s nowhere you need to rush off to.
Come back to Tawny, light the wood-fired hot tub, pour something you love and watch the sky turn dark, the stars appear and the countryside settle into the sounds of the night.
Countryside on your doorstep. The coast just a stroll away. And plenty of space to simply switch off.

Steeped in history, Lincolnshire is proudly known as “Bomber County”, a reflection of its remarkable RAF and aviation heritage. Historic airfields, memorials and landmarks across the county tell the story of the people and aircraft that have shaped this unique part of Britain.
Just a short journey from Tawny is Donna Nook, home to an active RAF weapons range, where you may be lucky enough to see RAF Typhoon jets training overhead.
And while Tawny feels wonderfully tucked away, you’re never far from what you need. Shops, traditional pubs, cafés and places to eat are around a 10-minute drive away, giving you the best of both worlds: peaceful countryside seclusion with everyday conveniences close at hand.
